In what can be described as a well-attended and spectacular
event, Thick Girls Entertainment, a new addition to the entertainment industry
in Ghana was launched.
The launch took place on Sunday October 5, 2014 was held at
the courtyard Reggies, located in Santa Maria, a suburb of Accra. The team,
largely made up of young plus sized ladies, aims at harnessing the resources of
its members to redefine beauty in Ghanaian circles. The group also aims at
taking over the Ghanaian entertainment scenes through its unique and attractive
events to be disclosed soon.

Speaking to one of the many people who thronged the Reggies Courtyard to witness the launch, she admitted the idea behind putting together the group was quite
inspiring and was going to help a lot in changing how people, especially the
youth, perceive plus sized women in the new era of society.
She also encouraged the group to use their platform to fight
against the adoption of drugs by some plus sized women to reduce their weight. “God
created us all differently and we should cherish what He gave us,” she added.
The launch of Thick Girls Entertainment also doubled as the
birthday celebration of its Chief Executive.
