Hellofood Ghana Begins Bicycle Delivery

Hellofood has become the first e-commerce business in Ghana to introduce the use of bicycle for food delivery.

In February 2016, the food delivery market place begun a test on how efficient it will be to use bicycles to deliver orders made by costumers through the Hellofood app. Costumers in and around Osu were the first to experience the bicycle delivery.

Receiving an overwhelming positive response from clients, Hellofood Ghana in May has begun a large scale use of bicycles to deliver clients’ orders made from restaurants close to their place of residence.

Sharing more light on the use of bicycles for delivery, Mr. Sofiene Marzouki, Country Managing Director of Hellofood Ghana explained that the decision to adopt bicycle delivery became necessary considering the rise in cost of living. With the continuous increase in the price of fuel in Ghana, it has become necessary to explore other media to make life much easier. “We always place our clients first, and do not want to increase their financial burden, knowing the economic hardship facing most Ghanaians,” he said. He assured clients of prompt and safe delivery of their meal.

With the adoption of the bicycle delivery system, Hellofood Ghana is expected to provide jobs for about 30 more young people in Accra.
Hellofood is the first food ordering and delivery platform in Ghana and the app is available on both android and IOS.
